renee's Story
This is Renee, who came to the Freedom House over 6 months ago addicted to Meth. We will be featuring her this year in one of our newsletters.
“Look at What the Lord Has Done”
I truly believe God has delivered Renee and has given her a new heart! It is amazing to watch as she grows more in love with Jesus! Often I will see Renee break out with tears and say; I can’t believe I don’t have a desire to use drugs anymore or the desire for the boyfriend that I couldn’t let go of that kept me in bondage.
Renee was in a very difficult situation, and because I felt like God was moving in her life, I did something I don’t ordinarily do. I went and got her out of a drug familyenvironment and brought her to the Freedom House. Renee was so skinny; I believe she was near death. Renee entered the first phase of the program where we immersed her in the Word of God and prayer which brought her healing. I believe the Word is the food that brings deep healing in the ladies lives. Then, of course, she began to eat better physical food. And man I mean she ate, and ate, and ate, and ate. She almost ate us out of house and home…LOL. Renee is now working and acclimating back into society.
Renee is also, rebuilding her relationship with her children Dominic 12 years old and Jazlyn who is 8 years old.
Meth use is rampant in our community and in the state of Oregon. Drugs and alcohol are ruining lives, children and families!! This why I am making it my mission in 2015 to reach even more women like Renee, who need a miracle!!
