Felicia's Story
I really didn’t have any faith until I came to the Freedom House. Now I have Faith and Hope the kind that changes lives and restores Families!
My name is Felicia I would like to share with you how the Lord changed my life. I was sitting in my prison cell when I got a letter from Hope and a Future Ministries. I looked it over and put it aside. It was almost time for me to get out of prison and I needed a place to go. I had applied to get into place after place and nothing was working out. So I picked up the letter Hope and a Future sent me and I thought to myself I am not religious but I do need a place to go. So I wrote Rachelle and she came to see me at the prison. She told me she didn’t have a bed for me that I was going to have to go to the Work Release Center, but three days before my release Rachelle called and said she had a bed for me, my parole officer approved me to go to the Freedom House. Rachelle picked me up at the bus station and greeted me with a back pack! As soon as I got to the Freedom House I felt at home. Rachelle and the volunteers started talking to me about the Lord. When they would pray I would cry and get goose bumps. Rachelle said it was the Holy Spirit and she asked me if I wanted to receive Jesus as my Savior. I said yes! As soon as I did I started to cry tears of Joy! I felt like a weight was lifted off of me and my life has been blessed! I am now on the right path! I have a job, I have my son back in my life and I am building a relationship with my family! I am learning to budget and I am saving to get my own housing to prepare for reunification with my son! I now have a hope and a future. Felicia
