Brie's Story
One of Our Volunteers Shares Her Life Changing Story!
Brie – One of our volunteers who assists in the office, mentors women, leads bible study, and was just cleared to go into the jail.
I have much to be thankful for and even more to Praise Jesus for: His Love, Kindness, Mercy and Grace. He has personally touched my life in more ways than I can mention in this brief testimony.
The Lord has ministered to my heart with the everlasting power of his Holy Spirit.
He saved me from a life of addiction and unhealthy relationships, and he personally healed the overwhelming desire I had to find love. I searched this world high and low for something that would fill the emptiness I felt. In the process I hurt myself and the ones I loved the most. I put every selfish desire I had into filling the emptiness that I felt ahead of my children, my loved ones, and even my own moral integrity. I reached levels of spiritual death and darkness that were so hopeless I even pondered the thought of taking my own life. It was then that I cried out to God while driving to work. “Jesus if you are really there, Please save me from this life, because I am not living, but merely existing.”
He heard my prayer and he came into my life instantaneously and miraculously. Then he began changing everything in my life, and most importantly how I related to it. Today I have hope! I have a God-given purpose and a relationship with my children. I’m married, and He blessed me with more children. I am a Student in Bible College, and I have an amazing family of believers to “do life” with. I no longer have to believe the lie that I am alone in the world and that I don’t matter. My life is blessed beyond blessed. I share this not to boast in myself, but in the Lord and his ability to restore a life where there seems to be no hope. All my faith and trust is in Him and I remain eternally grateful for His Love for a sinner like me.
