In the Spotlight: Board Secretary Sharlon Worley We are incredibly blessed by a board that seeks the Holy Spirit’s leading in every decision, ensuring Hope and A Future Ministries stays true to its founding mission: setting captives free and sharing the Lord’s love with broken women. Today, we want to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to our Board Secretary, Sharlon, for her years of selfless service! Sharlon recently purchased 40 Beyond Hope books to hand out and plant seeds of faith. Sharlon’s generous heart and her dedication to planting seeds of faith with those 40 Beyond Hope books is a wonderful testament to her years of selfless service on the board. As Sharlon beautifully said: “There isn’t a price tag you can put on sharing the message of Hope and advancing the kingdom!” A word from Sharlon: A Heart for the Lost I first met Rachelle several years ago, while she was at the Women’s Gospel Mission in Medford. It was easy to see she had a heart for the Lord and for the ladies there. Those hours became some of my most cherished, leaving a lasting mark on my heart for women who are simply looking for hope and love. When Rachelle founded Hope & a Future Ministries, my husband and I knew we had to support her—first through prayer and finances, and later, when she invited me to join the Board. I understand this mission because I have seen the devastation of addiction in my own family. My husband and I are currently raising three of our grandchildren because their parents are struggling. It is a far more common story than people think. I know that while addiction is powerful, our Savior is more powerful! He sets captives free. Rachelle’s approach—built on her own transparent journey in her book, Beyond Hope—is one of pure love and integrity. It has reached the heart of many helping the hopeless find hope. My prayer for every woman we serve is that they would know they are not alone and that God’s love truly heals. I look forward to seeing the miracles God will continue to work through Hope & a Future Ministries as we provide a path from captivity to freedom. I am privileged to be a small part in serving on the board.
